NSGIC members were invited to learn more about the recent efforts of the NSGIC Board of Directors and staff during a NSGIC Strategy Update on Dec. 4, 2020 from 3 to 4 ET.
In pursuit of the simplified purpose for NSGIC to exist to advance effective state-led geospatial coordination for the nation, NSGIC leadership adopted the strategic intent for the organization to serve as a national forum to develop future-oriented geospatial leadership and advance sound policies and practices for geospatial activities.
Critical outcomes for the organization were identified as:
Sustained communication and collaboration among all stakeholders in the geospatial ecosystem
Platform to support expanded channels of geospatial exchange and engagement
Increased impact on the long-term future of the geospatial ecosystem
NSGIC President Frank Winters and Executive Director Molly Schar share the latest learnings from ongoing strategic discussions among leadership and stakeholders, as well as solicit participation in further exploration of shared learning priorities to inform the critical outcomes.
